I am listing this car for my father, he has decided to sell it as he just doesn't have the time to drive it anymore. The car was purchased in Arizona in 2002 and it is very clean inside and out, and underneath as well. The car appears to have been repainted sometime before he bought it. The paint is in good condition as you can see in the pictures. There are some rock chips on the front of the car, and the right rear corner of the bumper cover has slight damage to the paint which can also be seen in the pictures. The interior is in excellent condition with very little wear and appears to be all original except for the Pioneer stereo and CD changer that have been installed. The car runs and drives quite well overall, it recently had the oil changed, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air and fuel filters. The car has two small mechanical issues- the brake pedal is a little soft, it seems like it needs a brake flush or at least the brakes bled. Also, the car does seem to shift into gear a little bit harshly but not too bad. Both of these issues are very minor and would not stop you from driving the car at all. The only modifications that have been made to the car aside from the stereo is true dual exhaust from the factory manifolds back, with a set of Monza dual tip mufflers. I find the sound to fit the car perfectly, a nice deep tone but not overly loud or obnoxious. Overall this car is a great driver that has a lot of potential to make it into a show winning car, drop in a crate motor and take it to the track, or maybe something in between. 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel destined for Chicago debut
Mon, 28 Jan 2013It's been a little over a year and a half since General Motors first confirmed plans to offer a diesel-powered Chevrolet Cruze here in the United States, and we've now learned that the oil-burning compact will debut under the lights of the Chicago Auto Show in February. According to GM Authority, the Cruze Eco-D will be introduced as part of the entire 2014 model year Cruze range, set to go on sale in the second quarter of this year.
Earlier reports have indicated that the diesel Cruze will be able to achieve fuel economy numbers in the range of 50 miles per gallon. For comparison, the similarly sized Volkswagen Jetta TDI is rated at 30/42 mpg city/highway, but as we found out in our long-term test of the 2011 model, hitting 50 mpg was a piece of cake.
Official specifications will be released at the time of the 2014 Cruze's unveiling, though reports have stated that the sedan will be powered by a reworked version of the 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-four found in the Holden Cruze CDX overseas. In that application, the four-pot oil-burner produces 160 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque - increases of 20 hp and 29 lb-ft over the 2.0-liter engine used in VW's Jetta TDI.
